What We Do

We are a tree care service with a conscientious and holistic approach for the protection of our urban forest

Hazard Tree Removal

Utilizing safe practices and efficient procedures, we are able to remove a tree in even the most precarious of positions. Modern techniques, rigging, and climbing systems take the guesswork out of dismantling tall conifers or overhanging branches.

Ornamental Pruning

To accomplish both an aesthetic and structurally sound trim of your tree requires intimate knowledge of correct pruning techniques and tree biology. Our ISA Certified Arborists will take care of that beautiful specimen in your backyard and ensure its ongoing health for years to come.

Conservation

Warden understands the importance for a healthy urban forest both ecologically and socially. We do not want to see otherwise healthy trees cut down for short sighted reasons, and hope to educate on how retaining a tree has many benefits.

Consultation

Book an assessment with our ISA Certified Arborists, and take us for a walk around your garden so we can have a look at what’s growing, answer your pressing questions, and suggest work we could help you with. Let’s talk trees together!

Who We are

Warden Tree Service is situated in the West Kootenays, in the beautiful bustling City of Nelson. Owned and operated by Dan Smart, the company is committed to providing long term, holistic, and sustainable tree care to the gorgeous urban forest in which Nelsonites live. Warden aims to work with homeowners who have a heartfelt connection to the trees in their backyard, and understands the myriad benefits that these organisms provide.

We strive to strike a balance between the years of experience from traditional methods around the world, while utilising the latest scientific methods and industry techniques. We are constantly evolving our practices to provide the best for you and your trees. We approach each job with an open mind and tailor our work to each individual client's needs and desires. Each tree is different and needs different management practices.

Please, fill out the contact form at the bottom of this page, invite us into your backyard and allow us to get to know the trees that you love so much. Whether it is the hundred-year-old oak that has been like an old friend, or your brand new ornamental shrub that you need help taming; we would be honoured to be a part of your garden. We first want to have that conversation and understand your particular goals before any tool is picked up.
